I bought another BMW. Yes, another convertible also. Yes, I know I live in Seattle and it rains 9 months of the year. But when it's nice, there isn't a better place to be in a drop top.
It's a 1997 318iC with 127,000 on the clock. 5 speed transmission. All the normal accessories like A/C, power everything. Nice stereo with a iPod plugin. Almost no flaws on it anywhere. A couple of things that needed to be fixed like backup lights didn't work (fuse), fog lights didn't work (fuse again) and the SRS airbag light came on. That was a dirty switch in the driver's belt buckle. So now everything works except that flashlight in the glove box and I'll get around to that soon.
Here's a few photos I took last weekend. Click on the thumbnail for a full size picture.
The new BMW 1 series is coming soon. They are at the dealers now. I went to my local BMW candy store to check them out. Very nice is what I can say about them. Much nicer than I had thought they would be. And much more powerful. I thought they were going to be entry level cars, but no way. These cars can hold their own with any import on the road. And quite a few older BMWs also.
Visit the BMW website to see all that this little monster has to offer. Or better yet, go to the dealer and check them out yourself.
